The Acrisure Amphitheater is redefining downtown Grand Rapids with a 12,000-seat outdoor entertainment venue designed to host national touring concerts, community events, and world-class live performances. Situated along the Grand River, the state-of-the-art facility features 7,000 fixed seats, 5,000 lawn seats, premium hospitality spaces, artist support areas, and public gathering spaces that will welcome hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.
E3M Solutions had the opportunity to provide Building Information Modeling (BIM) Coordination services for this landmark project. Working alongside Grand Action 2.0 (Owner), Pioneer Construction, Barton Malow, Progressive Companies, and Circuit Electric, our team helped coordinate the complex network of building systems that make a project of this scale possible.
Modern construction projects involve thousands of structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and architectural components that must fit together with precision. Through BIM coordination, E3M developed and coordinated detailed three-dimensional building models that allowed potential conflicts between building systems to be identified and resolved before construction occurred in the field.
This proactive approach improves collaboration between trades, reduces costly rework, minimizes construction delays, and helps maintain project schedules. On a project as complex as the Acrisure Amphitheater—where performance venues, back-of-house operations, hospitality spaces, and public areas all require sophisticated building infrastructure—effective coordination is critical to successful project delivery.
